Who we are
Petroleum Research Center (PRC) was established in 1977 as the technical arm of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to provide reliable laboratory testing services and studies which assist in increasing the productivity of the industry in the region.
Therefore, PRC consists of over 40 laboratories specializing in different branches of the petroleum sector (upstream & downstream activities) and employs more than 400 competent personnel whom twenty five percent of them have professional and academic degrees in order to provide high quality Laboratory testing services and technical studies in the fields of exploration, reservoir exploitation, oil and gas processing, geological & geophysical data management and a wide range of services in environmental monitoring.
In addition to the technical departments, the PRC as shown in the organization chart, consists of four supporting departments working together to achieve PRC goals.
In order to provide high quality services to our customers, the PRC granted ISO 17025 which guarantees and increases the accuracy and reliability of the tests and calibration, and also committed to documenting, implementing and maintaining a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2000.
